this used to be . . . the place to express the things I don't say with my mouth

Day off

We took the family to camp this weekend. I don't have any pictures from the camp, but will be posting some up after the 200+ that Mer took finishes downloading to the computer!! :)
The camp was really good, the weather was perfect, no rain once. The kids are now old enough and don't need to stick to mommy and daddy as much so they had nice little adventures.

We went to Fisherman's bend and so HAD to do some fishing. No luck for me, I had one fish on but really small, like 6". But it jumped off as I pulled it out of the water. No matter. I wasn't patient enough to do just throw the line in, but was using a lure and kept throwing and pulling.

Today I have a few errands to run and so stopped in at my favorite coffee place (The Governor's Cup) to do some reading and catching up. I am on a challenge with some of the men at church to read both Acts and Luke this month. A good challenge as our pastor will be teaching through Acts in the Fall.

Tonight I will be taking off for Seattle to go see the Mariners and Twins play. We are going to try to go early (through a friend of a friend) and see the Twins on the field and try to get autographs and pictures. The only problem is, I don't know anyone on the Twins so will have to look them up on their web site.

This weekend I will be out of town again looking for gold with my buddy Rob. This last time we went out, we found quite a bit (defined as little tiny flakes that are more than the others combined. Rob found the biggest tiny-flake). But I think we recognize what we need to do now ... basically be patient. It should be fun.
