The Miller Beer Bash

I thought it was a joke at first but, this is truly unbelievable.

Here is a news article about how Miller company seems to be the chief advertiser for an event going on ....
http://news.yahoo.com/s/uc/20071012/cm_uc_crbbox/op_234073

A little snippet from the site "Now, Miller has chosen to associate itself with an event mocking the Last Supper of Jesus, one of the most precious religious occasions for Christians." and "what really offended was the promotional poster for the fair. Seated at and standing behind a long table, Last Supper-style, are a set of men and women in various stages of leather dress/undress, including a man wearing a black dog mask. Sex toys, including a big red fist, are strewn across the table. As a spokesman for Concerned Women explained, "The bread and wine representing Christ's broken body and life-giving blood are replaced with sadomasochistic sex toys in this twisted version of Da Vinci's 'The Last Supper.'" Prominently on display in the left-hand corner of the ad — the Miller Lite sponsorship logo."

I understand freedom of speech and all ... but DAMN this bugs me. You have to read the full article to see why I am upset. Now, I am not expecting Miller beer to portray Christian attitudes and elements and wouldn't even think of having them display the gospel on each bottle of beer or anything like that (though that might be an interesting way of presentation!). I think I most upset that in our "be tolerant society" Christians will get busted down for speaking their mind and "world" forbid, we offend someone. But then it seems to totally be ok, to offend Christians.

Oh well, such is the world.

Bottom line: They will know we are Christians by our love. And the world hates us.

I never liked Miller beer anyway.

Any comments?
